Azura is a 10. The staff might be the best to date. Our daily server Keisha became our new friend. Breakfast, lunch and the pool were all awesome. One small negative is there needs to be a place to get water without asking the staff. Maybe a small general store but otherwise awesome.

It was my first time with friends in Bermuda. We stayed 3 nights at Azura Bermuda but they were the best and most magical days. I loved that that it was peaceful and quiet. Everyone at Azura had some helpful tips and hints to beautiful places to see and experience. The staff was extremely friendly and the food at the restaurant was always well presented and delicious. I’m pretty sure my friends and I had the best room/ villa on the site; our view was so spectacular, it felt like a dream. Beds were comfortable and clean. The whole property is beautifully designed maintained. Azura is a perfect balance of high-end luxury and nature.

We reserved a room with Ocean view with a balcony. They gave us a ground floor with a patio. The room wasn’t cleaned until late morning or early afternoon so when we’d come back from being somewhere, they were either still cleaning or we’d just put do not disturb so we could change or relax. The views from the property were spectacular. The staff in the office were great. Scheduling taxis for us. There is no place on the property, not even a vending machine to buy a soda or a late night snack. And when we asked about a place to get ice, we were told it was inaccessible now but we could ask them for ice. The menu at the restaurant at the pool was very limited and they didn’t have some of the items for the whole week we were there and it’s the exact same menu for every meal for the week. The location is off the beaten track so it got expensive to take taxis everywhere. The servers in the restaurant were great. Very friendly and accommodating. I would suggest adding some kind of game day/night or entertainment at the pool because it was very empty most of the week. Their office should offer brochures of things to do on the Island. There was nothing but a map of the property.

Overall, my wife and I had a very mixed experience at Azura. However, the negatives were enough to outweigh the positives and we cannot recommend staying here. Pros: - The property is beautiful. There are amazing views of the ocean from everywhere at Azura. - They have a private beach, which is quiet and very pretty. The reason we booked Azura was for this since many Bermuda hotels are not directly on the beach. We are really happy we had this because we could spend so much time sitting by the ocean. - The rooms are new and modern. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept great. - Staff are all super friendly. Everyone from the front desk workers, to restaurant servers and room porters were so kind and wonderful to talk to. The staff were really one of the best parts of Azura. Cons: - The hotel is unfinished. There is construction going on all over the resort to the point where I don’t think it should be open to guests yet. You can see in my pictures there is construction equipment left in the hallways and you can hear construction during the day. The salt water pool and beach bar were supposed to completed before our arrival but they were not and instead were an eyesore on the beach. - Our room had no privacy. There was a walkway right in front of our room where construction workers and guests would walk past all day. This was a huge problem when the entire room is glass. Even the bathroom is all glass, which means you need to close all of the shades to shower or use the bathroom. It was very unpleasant to sit outside our room in robes while construction workers walked by and waved hello. No hotel room should have a public walkway that close to it. - You need to drive everywhere. There is not much nearby Azura and the roads are not walkable so you need to take a taxi or bus everywhere. The hotel only has one restaurant currently so you will also need to do this to have meals elsewhere. - We found stains on our sheets when we arrived. This made us question whether they were clean or not. - You can hear a lot of outside noise from the hallways. Anytime someone walked by our room in the hallway you could hear it pretty loudly and we often heard doors slamming. It was enough to wake me up several times during the night over our 4 night stay. - Everyone working here is very new. While the staff were all extremely friendly and kind, you can tell they are all new and don’t have the experience to make recommendations and do everything you may want. We even had a staff member get lost trying to find our room. - The TV in our room was not working when we arrived. However, they were able to fix it on our second day. Given Azura is charging luxury hotel prices, I don’t think the experience we had was acceptable. I think once this hotel is finished and opened for more time, it could be a nice place to stay. However, I would not recommend booking a stay here in 2024 when there are still so many issues.
