Went for afternoon tea with champagne. Our waiter was lovely and the food was very tasty as was the champagne and tea. Also went for dinner on a separate occasion and really enjoyed the fish tacos and peanut butter chocolate mousse! (Cocktail pictured is the pink lemonade one)
The Crown and Anchor is such a versatile restaurant delivering lip smackingly delicious breakfasts, both a la Carte and buffet style, in the mornings, fabulous brunches and in the evening it transforms into a cosy bar and restaurant. We are here several times and we’re not once disappointed - the fish tacos were our faves, as too were the cocktails and the live music. Absolutely fantastic!
Poor selection of wine and beer, obviously try to make the most $. No darker beers and the red wine left a lot to be desired. Menu selection is pedestrian and expensive. Service was good, but it was very noisy - hard to hold a conversation.
The Crown and Anchor has expanded and now has a nice outside seating area. We had the seafood chowder and a margherita flatbread pizza. The pizza was delicious, but while the chowder tasted okay, it really doesn't hold a candle to what is served at any number of other places. You're basically getting a nice broth. The Rum Swizzles were quite good and, Taabu, our waiter was very nice and attentive. Overall, a very nice experience.
My husband and I decided to have our first meal as a married couple at Crown & Anchor. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty and we didn't have to wait long to be served. All in all, it was an awesome experience.
