We stayed at Rosewood Bermuda during the shoulder season in April. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful! Couldn’t have asked for more as far as the service here. The property is huge and to experience it all you need to use a golf cart (if you’ve booked a suite) or ride the shuttle bus. We used the bus a number of times and for the most part it was timely and we didn’t spend much time waiting for it. You need to take the bus to get to the hotel owned beach property, the golf course, the tennis courts, and one of the main restaurants (Sul Verde). On the main part of the property you can access one restaurant (Island Brasserie) and one bar (the Conservatory) and two pools without taking the bus. The rooms were very clean and very well maintained! The bathroom in our room was huge. There is also a nice balcony with a view - I would recommend staying on the Castle Harbor side for the better view if possible! The location is beautiful, although be prepared to pay for taxis if you want to experience restaurants and shopping in Hamilton or St George. We paid $20-40 each time we took a taxi (drivers were all lovely and happy to point out sights and local facts along the way). There are only a few restaurants on site and nearby. Although the service was wonderful, we didn’t find the food to be very good at any of the property restaurants which was a little disappointing for the price point. The pools are lovely - I got up a little early to arrive at the pool each morning before the crowds and found it very peaceful! The pools are heated nicely and felt warm even when the air was a little chilly. Even during the shoulder season the pool chairs were about 70% occupied each day. Overall, great stay and I would certainly return!!

Service was very good but not 5 star worthy. Expected just a little more attentiveness at checkin and by concierge. Service at bar/restaurants was excellent. Food was average. Building itself looked worn. Room was above average but not 5 star.

My family picked the Rosewood to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. 11 of us came, we rented 5 rooms for three nights. It’s a beautiful property, and the amenities are first class. But the service is a huge disappointment. Our first night we ate at the restaurant inside the hotel and even though it was half full it took 45 minutes for the waiter to take our order and another hour to get our food. We sat down at 6:30 and we didn’t leave until 9:30. The second day, today, was a very busy Sunday at the resort. We had made tee times to play golf, and then planned to spend the afternoon at the beach and then have dinner at the beach. The hotel advertises that it has a shuttle to take you to these places but they only have two and it drops to 1 after 5:00. So when it gets busy, you will do a lot of waiting. We were lucky to get a shuttle soon after we went downstairs for our outbound trip in the morning but on the way back the shuttle was full and we ended up walking rather than wait the 20 minutes for the next shuttle and we got to the hotel at the same time as the shuttle we werent able to fit on. Outbound to the beach club we again had to miss a shuttle because it didn’t have room, and waited 30 minutes for the next one. We left dinner at 9:00 PM and as we walked to the parking lot we watched the shuttle driver drive by without stopping at all, presumably because no one was in the parking lot. I chased after him hollering to. I avail, and then walked the 30 minute walk back to the hotel and when I arrived the shuttle was in front of the lobby and the driver sitting down taking a break. I told them my family had been waiting at the beach club for the last 30 minutes. He promptly left but they didn’t get back to the hotel until almost an hour after dinner ended. When they got back they said they had asked the staff at the beach club to call the shuttle several times and they were told “it’s on its way” which wasn’t true because it was at the hotel when I got there and only left when I did. Even more frustrating when I told my story to the manager she said “no that couldn’t happen because our shuttle runs constantly”. It’s a very expensive hotel, if you are in the mood for a laid back island time where everything moves slowly and you are fine standing around waiting if you want to go from the hotel to golf or to the beach club, this is your place. If you expect to be able to take a 10 minute shuttle ride without waiting 30-45 minutes to get a shuttle and don’t like the staff telling you things that aren’t accurate, you will be frustrated. It’s not cheap so I view these service related issues as unacceptable, but I think it depends on what you want from your stay.

As one of only two luxury hotels in Bermuda, the Rosewood is superior. It’s a huge property with lots of activities and dining options. Food was very good and service was excellent. What a nice staff! We loved our time in Bermuda and the hotel made it even more special.
