I stayed at the Royal Palms Hotel for 10 days in February. After reading all the reviews before travelling, I was not disappointed. Such a gorgeous hotel, with an oldie worldie charm set in the perfect location only 9 minutes walk from the centre of Hamilton, although, they were always happy to offer a taxi service into town. From the time I arrived, I was given a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was perfect with a little kitchenette for making tea and coffee and a microwave and fridge for keeping food. At the buffet breakfast, I enjoyed the selection and loved sitting in the breakfast area which is beautiful. Bally was always so welcoming and happy to suggest things to do on the island. Each evening, I enjoyed sitting on the swing in the garden and soaking up the ambience. I would highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back and I am already looking forward to visiting this home away from home. Thank you everyone at the Royal Palms Hotel!

The charming and wonderful Royal Palms Hotel is very comfortable and a great place to stay in Bermuda. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival when the reception staff came right down the steps to greet us as we got out of the taxi. Such was the level of attention and service we received over our six-day stay which was on a par with our stay in London’s luxury Goring Hotel. The Royal Palms Hotel is immaculate and lusciously landscaped. The public spaces and rooms are beautifully decorated and the hotel room size is generous. Many extras were appreciated including fresh flowers in our room, extra towels to take to the beach and complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres in the lovely lounge between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The buffet breakfast was different every day and included plenty of choices. Above all, we valued the attention of all of the very fine staff who seemed to always be on the lookout for ways to make our stay enjoyable. They knew who we were, remembered our preferences and were unfailingly polite and responsive. This was a high standard of “old-Bermuda” hospitality. Bali went the extra mile in suggesting different outings and making arrangements for us to have a very special lunch at a place we had long wanted to visit but had thought was not possible. We will definitely be back to stay at the Royal Palms Hotel.

This hotel was very comfortable with gorgeous flower gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was like a big happy family. The front desk and breakfast area were especially professional. The Ascot restaurant served delicious food and special attention to serving
Would love to return and highly recommend.

A very enjoyable experience. The staff helped plan events before we arrived and were very welcoming throughout our stay. The building feels like a big house and has tons of character. The location is on a beautiful, quite street and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the ferry. The onsite restaurant, Ascots, is excellent and made for a perfect first dinner after traveling all day. Muriel, Prisanna and Bali couldn't have been better hosts. Truly can't wait to return.
One note. Bermuda is warm and humid in the summer. As an older building some of the areas in the hotel aren't air conditioned--the bedrooms and restaurant are. Being from Florida this wasn't an issue for us but just be aware this isn't a "modern" facility with central a/c throughout. Very much has a refined throw-back feel. Didn't affect our enjoyment but worth knowing.

WOW! I’ll take this fabulous little inn any day over the hustle and bustle of any of the BIG HOTELS! Beautiful grounds, immaculate accommodations, and superlative staff including Bali, Jade, Theresa, Jade and those I have not named. Do not miss dinner at ASCOts on property….outstanding. This place is my new home away from home and I can’t wait to return!!!
